Joshua Pacio once again triumphed over Jarred Brooks at ONE Championship. This time, no controversy lingered.
Their trilogy fight carried high stakes. The strawweight belt was on the line during Thursday’s ONE 171 event in Lusail, Qatar. Brooks started strong, taking Pacio down and nearly finishing with D’arce choke and guillotine attempts.
But Pacio wasn’t having it. In round two, he caught a high kick from Brooks and flipped the script. Taking Brooks down, he unleashed a barrage of body punches from the top position. Brooks found himself trapped against the cage, unable to escape the relentless assault until the referee stepped in.
Pacio’s record now stands at 23-4. He has secured 14 victories in 18 appearances since 2016 in the circular cage. Since losing a decision to Brooks in December 2022, he’s gone 3-0, including a DQ win against "The Monkey God." Meanwhile, Brooks holds a 5-3 record under the ONE banner.
