Justin Gaethje Discusses Possible Injury in UFC 313 Footage

Justin Gaethje won his lightweight rematch against Rafael Fiziev at UFC 313, rebounding from a previous loss, and shared behind-the-scenes footage of the event on YouTube while expressing concern over a potential toe injury.

Justin Gaethje, as always, left everything in the cage at UFC 313.

“The Highlight” returned to victory at Saturday’s pay-per-view event held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. He needed three intense rounds to outlast Rafael Fiziev in their lightweight rematch.

After a sluggish start, Gaethje cranked up the intensity in rounds 2 and 3. This allowed him to beat Fiziev again and bounce back from a tough knockout loss to Max Holloway at UFC 300.

On Wednesday, Gaethje shared some behind-the-scenes footage of his dramatic fight night on YouTube. It included a quick evaluation of a possible injury he might have sustained.

“My toes are f*cked,” Gaethje candidly admitted.

During a post-fight media scrum, Gaethje mentioned his intent to remain available for UFC matchmakers whenever needed. Hopefully, the 36-year-old vet hasn’t suffered any injuries that could keep him out of action for long.

Gaethje’s vlog is packed with genuine moments, including heartfelt toasts from head coach Trevor Wittman and manager Ali Abdelaziz. They showered Gaethje with praise after he added yet another impressive feat to his storied career.
