Kayla Harrison Responds to PFL Mockery Before UFC 307

Kayla Harrison is choosing not to engage in negativity from her former employers at PFL, maintaining gratitude for her past while focusing on her UFC career and dismissing any criticism or attempts to provoke her.

Kayla Harrison’s taking the high road, folks. Just hours before her victory over Ketlen Vieira at UFC 307, PFL—her former stomping ground—took a jab on Twitter. They mocked her sole loss to Larissa Pacheco in 2022. The tweet? Went viral. Even Pacheco thought it was “uncalled for,” while UFC CEO Dana White chuckled and said, “when you’re losing as much money as they are, f*cking go for it.”

Harrison saw the tweet but didn’t bite. No war of words with her old promoters for her. “I operate from a place of gratitude,” she told MMA Fighting. She reflected on her time there, saying, “I grew up in that organization.” Financially stable and full of pride for what she helped build, she’s grateful.

Negativity? Nah, she’s not got time for that. “I’m staying in my lane,” Harrison declared. “Chasing my dreams.” If anyone has an issue with that? Well, she’s made it clear: “they can go f*ck themselves.” Bold words from a bold fighter.

Since leaving PFL and joining UFC, Harrison’s kept her shots at her former home minimal. Meanwhile, PFL co-founder Donn Davis insists she left to dodge fights with Pacheco and Cris Cyborg—despite her two wins over Pacheco already.

But Harrison won’t stoop to bashing PFL even if they’re using her name to hype up an upcoming fight between Pacheco and Cyborg. “Those choices speak for themselves,” she said. No need to air dirty laundry or talk trash.

That’s not who she is. Not the business she’s into. “I’ll just keep my head down,” Harrison stated, focused on hard work. You wanna talk smack? Go ahead. She knows she played a big role in building that company.

Switching promotions was the right move for her, no doubt about it. “I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be,” Harrison affirmed confidently.

And that’s Kayla Harrison for you—grateful, grounded, and going places!
