Kelvin Gastelum Endorses Henry Cejudo Over Aljamain Sterling

Kelvin Gastelum believes that Henry Cejudo will beat Aljamain Sterling and advises people to ‘bet the house’ on it.

Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo will make his return to the octagon against current titleholder Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 in May. Cejudo’s longtime friend and training partner Kelvin Gastelum has expressed his confidence in Cejudo’s abilities, advising fans to “bet the house” on Cejudo winning the fight.

In a recent interview on Cejudo’s YouTube channel, Gastelum praised Cejudo’s work ethic and mentality both in and out of the ring. Cejudo, who retired from the sport in May 2020 after defeating Dominick Cruz, has been training hard, and Gastelum believes he will step back into the champion’s role without difficulty, even after three years away from MMA.

“I’ve seen him doing work. I feel like he’s going to get his hand raised without a doubt. Bet the house on it,” said Gastelum, indicating his confidence in Cejudo’s return.

Gastelum himself is scheduled to fight Chris Curtis during the UFC 287 fight card in Miami, Florida, as the headlining bout of the preliminary card. As a known training partner of Cejudo, Gastelum’s insight and praise add an exciting layer of anticipation to Cejudo’s return to the sport. Fans will undoubtedly be eager to see if Cejudo can indeed reclaim his championship title.
