Kevin Lee is set to return to MMA with two fights scheduled for late 2024, first against Thiago Oliveira on September 28 at Lights Out Championship 17 in Michigan, and then at Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA 8 on November 15 against an unannounced opponent.
Kevin Lee now has two fight dates marked on the calendar to close out 2024.
Promotional officials confirmed to MMA Fighting that Lee will make his return to MMA at Lights Out Championship 17 against Thiago Oliveira. This event takes place on Sept. 28 in Wayne, Mich. MMA Junkie first reported the booking.
The card streams on Spectation Sports.
Lee is also slated to compete on the Nov. 15 Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA 8 event. His opponent for this bout has yet to be announced.
This marks Lee’s first appearance in over a year. He last fought in July 2023, where he was stopped by Rinat Fakhretdinov in a second chance bout with the UFC.
“Motown Phenom” returns to his original home state of Michigan. He enters this fight with a 2-3 record in his past five contests.
Lee looks for his first MMA victory since a decision win over Diego Sanchez for Eagle FC in March 2022.
Oliveira, a seasoned fighter with 30 bouts under his belt, recently snapped an eight-fight pro MMA losing streak. He achieved a submission win in February and fought to a draw in Canada’s BTC promotion in June.
