Following his UFC 229 4th round submission victory over McGregor, Nurmagomedov jumped outside the cage and attacked members of McGregor’s team. A major brawl also unfolded inside the cage. Both sides were handed hefty suspensions.
Both sides remained fairly silent the past year but the rivalry between the two has reheated. Khabib Nurmagomedov is not the type of guy to troll opponents but one man he can’t seem to resist taking shots at is Conor McGregor.
Conor McGregor after defeating Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 broke another UFC record. He was the 1st man to hold a KO/TKO in three weight divisions. He KO’s Jose Aldo at featherweight, Eddie Alvarez at lightweight and Donald Cerrone at welterweight. All but one man was not all that impressed.

Conor McGregor has been submitted in 3 weight classes as well. At featherweight to Joe Duffy, lightweight against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz at welterweight.
Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson are scheduled to faceoff at UFC 249 on April 18th. The elusive fight has been scheduled to take place 4 times but injuries on both camps have prevented the fight. McGregor remains adamant that one of the men will not make weight and will step in as a replacement.
