KSI Claims 80% Chance of Quitting Boxing after Triumph over Tommy Fury, Aims to be Final Boss

British YouTuber KSI hopes to indirectly defeat Jake Paul by beating Tommy Fury, who defeated Paul earlier, which might be his final fight given his intention to retire after defeating Paul, with a possible exception if an exciting opportunity presents itself.

KSI, a British YouTuber, intends to fight Tommy Fury as a symbolic means of vanquishing Jake Paul, who he has been unsuccessfully trying to arrange a fight with for over a year. This match would undeniably be the most significant in influencer boxing history, and KSI is focused on this objective, having previously stated that he plans to retire once he defeats Paul. This continuous pursuit, however, has not culminated in the desired fight, and KSI instead finds himself facing Fury, the man who triumphed over Paul earlier this year. KSI is reframing this fight set for October 14 as a surrogate competition against Paul, implying that it could be the last fight of his boxing career.

KSI expressed his frustration in an interview on The MMA Hour, stating that he is having to fight Tommy Fury to indirectly demonstrate that he is superior to Jake Paul. Despite constant speculation and criticism around his chances against Fury, KSI remains steadfast and announced his upcoming fight against Fury as a response to such doubts. He is well aware that regardless of the outcome, naysayers will always find an excuse to belittle what he achieves. He also pointed out the probability that he might retire after this fight, given the endless excuses from Jake Paul and his constant manipulation of the situation regarding their mooted fight.

However, the decision for retirement isn’t definitive. Outside of his boxing endeavors, KSI also promotes Misfits, a leading organization in influencer boxing. KSI, being the biggest star of his promotion, could potentially be drawn back to the ring post the Fury fight, but he asserts that any future fights would not just be for the sake of making money, but because of a striking enticement or challenge that piques his interest.

The eagerly awaited showdown between KSI and Fury is set to take place later this year in the AO Arena, Manchester, England. Fury, the undefeated half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, climbed to fame after defeating Paul in a highly anticipated match that aired in February this year. Despite Fury’s extensive boxing experience acting as a decisive factor in his victory against Paul, KSI remains undeterred, expressing a strong resolve to overpower Fury. In a notable demonstration of confidence, KSI anticipates knocking out Tommy Fury, viewing this as the ultimate bulletproof strategy to silence critics.
