KSI Criticizes Jake Paul’s Performance Against Nate Diaz, Suggests He Showed Regression

YouTuber and boxer KSI criticised Jake Paul’s performance against Nate Diaz, claiming Paul had regressed as a fighter, and dismissed his reasons for not agreeing to a fight between them.

KSI, a notable internet personality turned professional boxer, has recently expressed a negative perspective on Jake Paul’s boxing performance. In a match against Nate Diaz that took place on Saturday in Dallas, Paul managed to secure a clear cut unanimous decision victory and even knocked Diaz down in the fifth round. This victory served as a rebound for Paul, who had experienced his first career loss earlier in the year when he was defeated by Tommy Fury. Despite many being thoroughly impressed with Paul’s return and his ability to endure 10 rounds against a renowned opponent, KSI was far from being among them.

KSI voiced his criticism during an appearance on “The MMA Hour,” stating that he believes Paul “regressed” during his recent fight. He outlined his issues with Paul’s approach, stating he didn’t see a strategic performance from Paul and didn’t understand what he was trying to achieve in the match. KSI criticized both Paul and Diaz for their lack of jabs and accused Paul of merely trying to survive the 10 rounds: “Low output, low I.Q,” as he described it.

Adding on to his critique, KSI pointed out that he didn’t feel like Diaz posed any threat to Paul in the boxing ring. He perceived Diaz’s punches as barely damaging, comparing them to “slaps” rather than impactful hits and noted that Paul seemingly took a significant amount of hits, yet they hardly affected his performance. This is why KSI felt Paul weathered the storm and secured a unanimous win.

KSI, who famously shares a tense relationship with both Jake Paul and his brother Logan, firmly dismissed Jake’s performance as below par. He also took aim at Jake’s choice of opponents, accusing him of ducking a potential fight against him and picking a less challenging opponent such as Diaz. KSI believes Jake is apprehensive of his boxing prowess after witnessing his recent performances and continually finding excuses to delay their anticipated showdown. KSI’s ultimate goal is to face Fury in the ring, believing that defeating Fury will ultimately prove his superiority over Jake Paul.
