KSI Delivers Firm Ultimatum to Tommy Fury Over Boxing Negotiations, Fires Harsh Words

The rumored boxing match between KSI and Tommy Fury is in jeopardy due to stalled negotiations and disagreements on the fighting weight.

The much-anticipated boxing match between KSI and Tommy Fury appears to be off the cards. After weeks of speculation suggesting the fight was all but confirmed, with rumors stating it would occur later this year, the mood has changed. Despite no exact location being confirmed for the contest, all signs pointed to an epic showdown. However, the situation has taken a turn when KSI announced that negotiations have hit a roadblock via a post on his YouTube channel, also launching a distinctive attack on Fury.

KSI voiced his disappointment with how things have turned out, stating, “Welp, ladies and gentlemen, I don’t think this fight is happening anymore. Tommy Fury is simply being difficult, making this four-month negotiation an absolute chore.” He angrily noted that every point of the fight agreement, including the payment, amount of rounds, and weight-class had been mutually settled. However, fury unexpectedly demanded they fight at 185, or not fight at all. This announcement certainly didn’t go down well with KSI, who slammed Fury for differing behaviors on and off camera.

Furthermore, KSI compared Fury’s antics to Jake Paul, and alluded to the fact that Fury had been boxing for his entire life, belonged to a famed boxing family, and carried the heavyweight surname. Yet he wanted to fight at 185 lbs when his usual weight-class was 175 lbs light heavyweight. Despite Fury’s recent battle with Jake Paul being held at 185 pounds, his previously declared comfort with a 180 pound limit appeared to be no more, leading to a deadlock. KSI presented himself ready to walk away if need be.

KSI terminated the conversational video by warning Fury, “Tommy, I think you need to realize who the f*** you’re talking to. You’re disrespecting me and that’s pissing me off. Sign the contract as it is or else I’m fighting someone else. You have until Monday, July 3, 6 P.M. to sign the contract. If you don’t sign it, I’m moving on, that’s that.” The past few months saw KSI and Fury in a tense standoff, following Fury’s surprising win over Jake Paul in February. KSI recently had a no-contest with Joe Fournier due to an unintentional elbow strike by KSI which knocked Fournier out in their May boxing match. Responding to all these events, Jake Paul commented on Twitter.
