KSI & Officials React to Misfits Boxing 13 Event Delay Due to Alleged Swatting

The Misfits Boxing 13 event was temporarily halted and the arena evacuated due to a bomb threat, causing a 78-minute delay before the event was resumed.

Well, Saturday’s Misfits Boxing 13 event sure took a left turn. Talk about unexpected.

In the middle of the second round, Lil Cracra and Yuddy Gang’s fight got interrupted. The reason? A bomb threat, of all things. The whole place, Worldwide Stages in Nashville, Tenn., had to be cleared out.

Todd Grisham, the commentator, broke the news to the DAZN audience. “We’ve got some sort of threat or incident,” he said. “The arena’s being cleared, even this fight’s on hold. We gotta leave too. We’re taking a short break, making sure everything’s okay and everyone’s safe… don’t go anywhere.”

DAZN kept the live feed going for a bit during the delay. Then they switched to a promo. “Sorry for the interruption. We’re working to bring your event back ASAP.”

KSI had something to say about the delay. “I’ve never seen an event that I’m watching LIVE, get swatted. America’s different,” he tweeted.

Misfits Boxing also chimed in on Twitter. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Misfits Boxing are currently working with local authorities. Show will resume imminently.”

MF & DAZN X Series added, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the X-Series 013 fight card is temporarily postponed, but will resume shortly. Stay tuned for updates.”

KSI later tweeted, “The event is back plus the swatter is gonna get sued and arrested. Long day. VPNs won’t save you.”

Three more fights were still to come on the main card. The Lil Cracra and Yuddy Gang fight? It’s been ruled a no-contest after the delay.

The event was set to restart at 10:10 p.m. ET, after a 78-minute delay. That’s according to the officials.

When the event returned, Grisham said, “We apologize for that brief delay.” He explained, “Basically what happened is the local law enforcement authorities out of an abundance of caution asked everyone to clear the arena so they could do an in-depth security check. They did that and have been given the all-clear so we will continue the show.”
