KSI has expressed interest in boxing Conor McGregor, joining the speculation around a potential fight between McGregor and Logan Paul, despite both McGregor and KSI having been inactive in their respective combat sports careers recently.
KSI is diving headfirst into the McGregor-Logan Paul spectacle. Recently, McGregor hinted he’s negotiating a boxing match with Paul. The fight, supposedly backed by India’s billionaire Ambani family, might happen in Mumbai. Yet, neither the Ambanis nor Paul have confirmed these whispers. Still, the rumor mill churns on, speculating about the hefty payday awaiting McGregor if this bout materializes.
With Logan Paul seemingly absorbed in his WWE career, KSI has emerged as a contender for McGregor. “Not rumored,” KSI responded to a fan’s mock poster featuring him and McGregor. “I’m very down.” And guess what? McGregor retweeted KSI’s remarks.
These two aren’t exactly strangers. They collaborated on promoting the UFC 2 video game back in 2016—long before KSI ignited the influencer boxing trend by facing off against Paul two years later. Oh, and McGregor hasn’t shied away from poking fun at KSI’s fighting skills either. There’s even a Happy Punch compilation showcasing McGregor’s jabs at KSI.
“KSI is in the crowd and he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg-boxing factory,” McGregor exclaimed during a promo at the Joshua vs. Helenius event in London, August 2023. Ouch! As for KSI’s record? He’s 4-1 (1 NC) as a pro boxer but hasn’t fought since October 2023 after losing to Tommy Fury via unanimous decision.
McGregor’s also been sidelined for some time now. His last fight was at UFC 264 in July 2021 when he faced Dustin Poirier. A brutal leg break put him out of action. He was set to return this past June against Michael Chandler but pulled out due to a toe injury. Life’s full of surprises, huh?
