Last-minute shuffle for UFC Vegas 72’s fight card.

Several changes have occurred in the UFC Vegas 72 fight card just days before the event, including Ang Loosa bowing out due to injury and some bouts being rescheduled or canceled altogether.

The UFC Vegas 72 fight card, scheduled for Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, has undergone some significant changes in the days leading up to the event. Originally, a lightweight bout between Arman Tsarukyan and Renato Moicano was set to headline, but Moicano had to pull out due to injury. Now, the headlining bout will be between Song Yadon and Ricky Simon, two highly ranked 135 pounders looking to prove their worth for a potential bantamweight title shot.

Unfortunately, there have been several other changes to the fight card in the past week. A main card bout between strawweights Emily Ducote and Polyana Viana has been moved to UFC Vegas 73 on May 20th, which will feature a fight between bantamweight contenders Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana. Ange Loosa also had to bow out of his bout against Josh Quinlan due to injury, and will be replaced by Dana White Contender Series veteran and LFA welterweight champion Trey Waters.

In addition to these changes, Natan Levy‘s bout against Pete Rodriguez has been cancelled altogether due to illness. Overall, there have been quite a few alterations to the UFC Vegas 72 fight card, leaving fans and fighters alike wondering what else may be in store in the lead-up to the event.

Nonetheless, the revised fight card is still packed with exciting matchups. The main card will feature five bouts, including the headlining matchup between Yadon and Simon, a middleweight clash between Caio Borralho and Michał Oleksiejczuk, and an intriguing women’s strawweight bout between Emily Ducote and Polyana Viana, which has been rescheduled for UFC Vegas 73. Meanwhile, the preliminary card features half a dozen matchups, including a heavyweight showdown between Martin Buday and Jake Collier and a women’s bantamweight bout between Hailey Cowan and Jamey-Lyn Horth.

As always, UFC fans are eagerly anticipating the action that will unfold at the Apex in just a few short days, even with all the changes that the fight card has undergone. With so many top-ranked fighters on the card and plenty of potential for upsets and surprises, UFC Vegas 72 is shaping up to be an event that fans won’t want to miss.
