Logan Paul Discloses Six-Figure Clause Preventing Dillon Danis From Backing Out Of Fight

Logan Paul has expressed concern Dillon Danis may not show up for their boxing match in England, highlighting a clause which would penalize Danis $100,000 for withdrawal, while also expressing his readiness to “erase” Danis from the MMA and combat world.

Logan Paul is pulling out all the stops to ensure Dillon Danis meets him in England for their scheduled fight. After the announcement of their upcoming match set for Manchester on October 14, Paul expressed concerns on his Impaulsive podcast about Danis potentially not showing up. Danis was previously slated to box against KSI last January, but dropped out 10 days prior. KSI’s manager Mams Taylor stated that the withdrawal was due to Danis being underprepared and struggling to make weight.

Danis, a former jiu-jitsu star, has not participated in a combat sport since June 2019. Taking Danis’ potential unreliability into consideration, Paul stated there’s a clause in their bout agreement which would penalize Danis if he withdraws from the match. He said, “I’m convinced he’s not going to show up. The clause is this, if he pulls out because of some sort of injury that he fakes, a doctor of our choosing has to verify the injury and then if he is indeed faking, he has to pay $100,000. There is a pull-out clause.”

In response to a query about Danis’ ability to pay such a penalty, Paul accused him of being broke. He also expressed his motivation for accepting the fight was to put an end to Danis’ presence in combat sports. “He sucks. He’s the parasite of the MMA and combat world and that’s why I took the fight initially,” Paul said. He also made his feelings clear, stating “I’m angry. I’m pissed off. You can see that I’m fired up, I believe in my boxing ability. I like the idea of taking over two sports at the same time and Oct. 14 is going to be f****** insane.”

Paul, having competed three times in the boxing ring in the past, doesn’t worry about his skills but is concerned about Danis’ promotional strategies. “It’s all fake. So some people will believe what he sees and I’m going to have to have a fact-checker on board,” Paul stated. He also questioned the attention Danis might get from the match, saying “Does he deserve this clout? Does he deserve this attention? Absolutely f****** not. Does he deserve to get decapitated in Round 1 in the first 15 seconds? Absolutely.”
