Logan Paul announced that he tested negative for performance-enhancing drugs after his boxing match with Dillon Danis, but Danis dismissed the results, claiming the testing was a joke and easy to beat.
In a recent announcement, Logan Paul revealed the outcome of a drug test conducted after his boxing match against Dillon Danis, stating that the results were negative. Paul shared a video on X where he confidently addressed his critics, saying, “Haters, you’re going to have to keep trying. No performance-enhancing drugs. Good luck next time, though, you f****** dorks!” Alongside the video, he displayed a screenshot of the results, which appeared to be a letter from the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) to the event regulator and promoter, Misfits Boxing. The letter confirmed his negative test for “performance-enhancing drugs” on October 15.
While Paul’s test results may have shown no signs of PEDs, there was no mention of the specific substances he was tested for or any additional details about VADA’s testing protocol during the October 14 match. Despite the lack of transparency, Danis disregarded Paul’s announcement and continued to assert that his opponent was using illegal substances. Danis took to social media to criticize the drug testing, claiming it was inadequate due to a post-fight urine test, which he deemed easy to manipulate, and alleged that the supervising official was not attentive enough.
Experts in anti-doping universally agree that random year-round testing is the most effective approach to drug testing. Until recently, the UFC’s association with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency was considered the most comprehensive program in combat sports, although its penalties were often perceived as inconsistent by fighters and observers. However, the UFC recently announced its decision to terminate the partnership and replace it with a group of contractors responsible for various aspects of the testing and administrative process. It should be noted that Paul, as a professional wrestler in WWE, adheres to the promotion’s drug testing policy and to date has not faced any allegations of PED usage.
Interestingly, following his loss to Paul, Danis has expressed a desire to be signed by the UFC despite his multiple offenses and appeal related to the fight. Furthermore, he is currently entangled in a legal dispute with Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, who has accused him of violating revenge porn laws by sharing explicit content obtained from her compromised personal phone.
