Logan Paul Struggles to Book Jake Paul vs. KSI Fight

Jake Paul has moved past a potential fight with KSI due to weight issues and his desire to focus on more serious boxing aspirations, despite his brother Logan Paul’s efforts to arrange the match.

Looks like Jake Paul has moved on from the idea of fighting KSI. Yep, that’s right.

Logan Paul spilled the beans on his Impaulsive podcast. He really wanted that fight to happen, but alas, it seems not. Remember when Jake and KSI boxed twice? Now they’re buddies, launching Prime energy drinks together. Funny how things change.

KSI’s gearing up to face Dillon Danis in Misfits Boxing. Meanwhile, Jake’s waiting for his next move after a possible match with Canelo Alvarez didn’t pan out. Logan says Jake’s just not keen on fighting KSI, no matter how many viewers would tune in.

“I’m working on it. Trying so hard,” Logan confessed about arranging the fight. “There’s a weight issue. Jake’s technically the bigger guy. KSI fights lighter. It’s a mess.”

Jake thinks he’s beyond influencer boxing now, while he still sees KSI as part of that scene.

Sure, Jake started in influencer boxing, but he’s been talking big about going pro and becoming a world champ.

Yet, he hasn’t faced any ranked opponents. The only fighter close in age and skill was Tommy Fury, who handed Jake his sole loss. Otherwise, Jake’s been up against ex-UFC fighters like Woodley and Diaz, plus a recent win over Mike Tyson—who hadn’t fought professionally in two decades.

The influencer label might be one reason for the hold-up with KSI, but Logan thinks weight is the real hurdle here.

Logan explained, “He won’t drop to an uncomfortable weight just for YouTube fans.” After all, Jake just had a huge event with Tyson; his mind’s elsewhere now.

“He won’t hit 190 pounds,” Logan continued. “He was comfy at 192.5. I told him he can’t fight at 190 ever again. He’s bulked up—a thick tattooed beast now.”

Next on Jake’s agenda? Prepping for his new reality show Paul American, featuring Logan too, premiering on Max come March 27.
