Mark Zuckerberg Dismisses Elon Musk Fight Rumors, Names UFC & ONE as Perfect Partners

Mark Zuckerberg has refuted Elon Musk’s claims about a potential fight between them, saying that any updates would come directly from him, and voiced his belief that any such event would need involvement from major organizations like the UFC or ONE Championship.

Mark Zuckerberg recently communicated a warning to the public not to believe or invest in the claims of Elon Musk. This warning is in response to the statements Musk made on Twitter just this Friday. Musk claimed he has already commenced discussions with Italian officials regarding a potential fight between him and Zuckerberg, taking place in the Historic Colosseum. He further revealed that this event wouldn’t be managed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and instead, would be live-streamed on Musk’s social media platform now known as ‘X.’ This platform would be used to broadcast the fight billed as a contest of billionaires.

Despite Zuckerberg’s expression of interest in the fight in the past, it wasn’t until Friday afternoon that he responded to Musk’s claims. His response came via his social media platform, Threads, where he flatly refuted Musk’s assertions. In a comment on the platform, Zuckerberg stated, “I love this sport and I’ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me. If he ever agrees on an actual date, you’ll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on.”

In terms of martial arts accomplishment, Zuckerberg hasn’t been idle, he has been steadily improving his combat sports skills and credentials. He recently won medals at a Jiu-Jitsu competition. Furthermore, his association with the UFC has seen increased exposure, having been hosted by the UFC President, Dana White, at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. In public assertions, White projected a potential lucrative face-off between Zuckerberg and Musk.

While Musk’s plans for the potential fight seem to exclude UFC’s involvement, Zuckerberg believes that to do justice to the event and the athletes involved, partnering with a major promotion organization like UFC or ONE Championship is crucial. He wrote on his social media, “Not holding my breath for Elon, but I’ll share details on my next fight when I’m ready. When I compete, I want to do it in a way that puts a spotlight on the elite athletes at the top of the game. You do that by working with professional orgs like the UFC or ONE to pull this off well and create a great card.”
