Mark Zuckerberg Injures ACL During Intense MMA Fight Preparation

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg suffered a torn ACL while training for a competitive MMA fight, delaying his plans and putting his aspirations on hold.

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Meta, suffered a setback in his MMA aspirations when he revealed on Instagram that he had torn his ACL during sparring. He had been training vigorously in preparation for a competitive MMA fight scheduled for early next year. Zuckerberg expressed his gratitude to the doctors and medical team who performed surgery to replace his torn ACL and assured his followers that he still intends to pursue his MMA goals once he has fully recovered.

Zuckerberg’s interest in the world of MMA has been evident for some time. As a dedicated practitioner of jiu-jitsu, he has been actively involved in various tournaments and has even rented out the UFC APEX venue to watch UFC Vegas 61 privately in October 2022. Notably, he has trained with notable UFC stars like Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya, further highlighting his involvement in the sport.

Earlier this year, there were rumors circulating about a potential fight between Zuckerberg and fellow tech mogul Elon Musk, which garnered attention from UFC CEO Dana White. However, Zuckerberg decided to call off the fight, claiming that Musk was not serious about engaging in a real bout. Musk, on the other hand, expressed his readiness to fight Zuckerberg under any circumstances in a recent interview.

Despite the possibility of a high-profile match against Musk, Zuckerberg’s torn ACL puts his MMA endeavors on hold. It seems that he will now be focusing on recovering from his injury before he can get back on the mats and continue pursuing his competitive MMA dreams.
