Merab Dvalishvili Responds to Sean O’Malley’s UFC Champion Claim with Funny Skit

Merab Dvalishvili, the new UFC bantamweight champion, dismisses Sean O’Malley‘s claims of still being the champion and mocks him on Instagram, asserting his dominance and preparing to defend his title against Umar Nurmagomedov or Deiveson Figueiredo next year.

Merab Dvalishvili isn’t buying any of Sean O’Malley’s nonsense.

This past weekend, Dvalishvili clinched the bantamweight title. He secured a unanimous decision victory over O’Malley in UFC 306’s main event.

Immediately after the fight, O’Malley had “no excuses.” But by Thursday, “Suga” changed his tune. He disputed the judging and claimed he was still the 135-pound champion. O’Malley even said he’d defend the title against Umar Nurmagomedov next summer. The true champ, however, isn’t having it.

Dvalishvili took to Instagram with a cheeky response. He trolled O’Malley with a video, acting like a disapproving father.

“What the f*ck, bro?! What’s going on? Sean, is that you my friend? What’s wrong with you, bro? Why do you keep smoking, my friend? I thought you were just sleeping now. It’s sleep time for you, bro. Come on, bro.”

“Listen son, don’t worry about this Umar Nurmagomedov. I will take care of Umar. You’re not a champion anymore. I’m going to take belt from you again, so you drive safe, son. Let’s go Sean. No more smoking. Drive safe.”

Merab also kissed a doll version of O’Malley several times on the head—a callback to their curious exchange during the fight.

Despite O’Malley’s claims, Dvalishvili remains the undisputed UFC bantamweight champion. He seems ready to defend his title against Umar Nurmagomedov or maybe Deiveson Figueiredo next year.

Meanwhile, O’Malley is headed for surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip. He’ll be out of action for at least six months.

And there you have it—drama inside and outside the octagon!
