The UFC 310 event on December 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will feature a welterweight bout between Michael Chiesa and Max Griffin, with Chiesa coming off a recent win after a year-long hiatus and Griffin following a split decision victory earlier this year.
The UFC’s final pay-per-view event of 2024 has added a welterweight showdown. Multiple sources with insider knowledge confirmed that Michael Chiesa will face Max Griffin at UFC 310 on Dec. 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Interestingly, the card currently lacks a main event. Chiesa made a notable return to the octagon after a year-long hiatus at August’s UFC Abu Dhabi event. He submitted Tony Ferguson via rear-naked choke in the opening round, breaking a three-fight losing streak.
“Maverick” had previously faced defeats against Kevin Holland, Sean Brady, and Vicente Luque. This upcoming fight marks his first opportunity to compete multiple times in a single year since 2021. Quite the comeback story, isn’t it?
On the other side, Griffin is set for his 17th walk to the octagon. He recently scored a split decision win against Jeremiah Wells at UFC Vegas 86 in February. “Pain” has alternated between wins and losses over his last five fights.
His recent victories include wins over Carlos Condit and Tim Means. The anticipation for this bout is palpable among fans and pundits alike. Stay tuned for more updates as we inch closer to fight night!
