Mike Perry Challenges Robbie Lawler for BKFC Fight; Conor McGregor Reacts

Mike Perry has expressed interest in facing former UFC champion Robbie Lawler in a bare-knuckle fight, following his previous bout with Jake Paul and receiving support from Conor McGregor for the potential matchup.

Mike Perry’s got his eyes on a big fish for his next bare-knuckle brawl. During the BKFC Hollywood event, he dropped a bombshell in an interview with Cyrus Fees. Who’s he calling out? None other than former UFC champ Robbie Lawler.

“I think who should face me next — I see Robbie Lawler in the crowd,” Perry announced. “He should take the gloves off and step inside the squared circle against ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry.” Bold move, right?

Perry’s been out of the BKFC ring since April when he knocked out Thiago Alves at KnuckleMania 4 in just 60 seconds. Fast forward to July, Perry took on Jake Paul in a boxing match after Mike Tyson’s medical emergency postponed their fight.

The Tampa showdown saw Paul stopping Perry in the sixth round. This led to UFC star and BKFC co-owner Conor McGregor humorously firing Perry on social media—a joke that’s been running ever since.

But now, with Perry’s callout of Lawler, it seems he’s back in McGregor’s good books. The Irishman even tweeted his excitement about the potential matchup.

“What a show! Perry vs. Lawler? Gimme,” McGregor exclaimed on Twitter. Seems like he’s all for it!

Perry’s been itching for a worthy opponent, but so far, no takers. Lawler, who hung up his UFC gloves after a knockout win over Niko Price in July 2023, might be just the challenge Perry needs.

“Listen, man, I’m the best to ever be up in this ring [with] no gloves,” Perry boasted. “Nobody’s ever done it like me. I’m waiting for my chance to shine again.”

“So what I thought is Robbie Lawler might just be tough enough to do it,” he concluded with confidence. Let’s see if Lawler bites!
