Mike Perry Inks New Multi-Fight Agreement with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC)

Former UFC fighter Mike Perry has signed a new multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), following a successful three-fight run with the promotion.

Mike Perry, a seasoned UFC veteran, has decided to keep his gloves off and compete in bare-knuckle. This decision comes after the signing of a multi-fight deal with BKFC, a prominent bare-knuckle fighting promotion. Perry made this announcement after successfully completing a three-fight stint with the promotion, impressing fans and officials alike.

In 2021, Perry had joined BKFC and quickly made his presence felt with a victorious debut against Julian Lane. Following this auspicious start, Perry faced off against Bellator star Michael “Venom” Page in a crossover fight in London. The intense bout ended in a draw after five rounds, but due to a special contractual clause, both fighters agreed to a sixth round. Perry took the sixth round, winning the decision over Page.

Perry’s most notable BKFC fight took place in April, as part of the biggest card to date. He squared off against ex-UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in a star-studded event, even attracting Conor McGregor to the audience. Perry dominated the second round with heavy punches, inevitably leading to Rockhold’s defeat. After the fight, Perry confided that this was his last contracted fight with BKFC. Promotion’s president, David Feldman, was optimistic that they would be able to strike a new deal, stating: “He’s built for this sport. He’s truly, truly built for this sport. He’s already a superstar here. He’s become a well-recognized star already and I think he can be a superstar with us.”

Presently, there is no information on when Perry will return to the ring. However, with the signing of the new deal, Perry can begin preparing for his upcoming battles in the BKFC. Feldman had hinted at plans for another major BKFC event before the conclusion of 2023. For Perry, the focus will be towards making a triumphant comeback and further establishing his clout in the world of bare-knuckle fighting.
