Mike Perry is considering an MMA fight against Dillon Danis, potentially happening in the next few weeks, contingent on negotiations with Misfits and other logistical details.
Mike Perry’s got a potential MMA fight on the horizon. It might happen soon, like in the next few weeks. Exciting, right?
On The Ariel Helwani Show, Perry mentioned, “KSI is out, yeah, Dillon Danis wants to fight MMA.” He’s all in for it. But there’s a catch—gotta see what Mams Taylor is cooking up over at Misfits.
Things are getting switched around. Originally, Danis was supposed to face KSI in a boxing match. Now? The date’s shifted a tad but shouldn’t be too far off. Perry’s game for an MMA bout with Danis, but they need to get their act together.
Perry’s been on a bit of a hiatus since losing to Jake Paul in a boxing match back in July. He hasn’t stepped into the BKFC ring for nearly a year after his quick victory over Thiago Alves at KnuckleMania 4.
On the flip side, Danis was lined up to box KSI last weekend at Misfits Boxing 21. Unfortunately, KSI had to pull out due to illness, pushing the whole event back. Meanwhile, Danis is set to clash with Tony Ferguson under the GFL banner on May 29 in LA. Official word came out just this Monday.
Perry speculates about Danis: “Maybe he doesn’t want to risk that fight.” And then there’s BKFC—are they willing to take any chances? Perry paints a vivid picture: “Danis is going to try and grab my foot, and I’m going to try and soccer kick him in the face.” April could be when it all goes down.
Perry’s confident about stopping takedowns. He figures Danis will have to pull guard eventually. “I’ve got some ground and pound, too,” he adds. “Let’s do it.”
