Mike Perry Uncertain About Darren Till Fight, Shows Interest in Caleb Plant Challenge

Undefeated bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry is looking for new opponents after claiming that Darren Till turned down a $2 million offer to fight him, and is open to different fighting rules or even a crossover fight with a prominent boxer.

Mike Perry’s options in BKFC are dwindling. He’s a bare-knuckle brawler with an undefeated record. He recently knocked out former BKFC champ and UFC veteran Thiago Alves in just a minute at BKFC KnuckleMania 4. And then, he called out Darren Till. A fight he’s been itching for.

Perry claimed Till declined a hefty $2 million offer to face him. But the trash talk continued on social media post his latest win. Perry thinks Till’s reluctance is due to the bare-knuckle aspect. But he’s not letting that stop him from pursuing the match under different rules.

“With Darren, it’s clear he doesn’t want to do bare-knuckle,” Perry told MMA Fighting. “I’ve said this before. He doesn’t want to do it. But I want to punch him in the face. That’s all.”

Perry’s open to other options. Like fighting with gloves on. Or even smaller gloves. He’s planning something called Platinum Pit Fights. It’s his own promotion. He’s looking to make a card, a show. He can offer good pay. And gloves, so fighters don’t have to be scared. His main goal? To punch Till and settle their differences.

Perry’s already defeated big names like Alves, Eddie Alvarez, Luke Rockhold, and Michael “Venom” Page. BKFC managed to secure these opponents for him. But he’s not interested in David Mundell, the reigning BKFC middleweight champ. Perry already knocked him out in an MMA fight in 2016. Plus, Mundell’s name doesn’t carry as much weight as Perry’s previous opponents.

That’s why the Till fight was so appealing. Now, Perry’s left without an ideal opponent for his next fight. “I don’t see anyone left in bare-knuckle,” Perry said. He mentioned his fight with Thiago Alves. No one had done to Alves what Perry did. He made Alves quit. He’s making all his opponents quit when he hits them with his bare knuckles.

Perry’s open for business if Till isn’t interested. Especially if there’s a worthy challenge. He’s considering a crossover fight with a prominent boxer. He’s dabbled in boxing before. He was even a backup for Logan Paul and Jake Paul at recent events.

Perry’s heard there’s interest from a former champ. That’s got his attention. “There are some incredible boxers out there,” Perry said. He mentioned Caleb Plant. Perry’s interested in facing him. He thinks Plant’s an incredible fighter. He wants the recognition of facing a guy like that.

Plant, 31, has faced top fighters in his boxing career. Like Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez. It’s unclear if he’ll try bare-knuckle fighting. But Perry’s ready to welcome him.

Perry’s open to other opportunities. In BKFC, boxing, or even a return to MMA. He says he’s ready for any kind of fight. “Gloves, no gloves, any style, I can fight,” Perry said. He believes he can be the most successful combat sports athlete. He’s ready to transition between different organizations and sports. “Let’s make it happen. Let’s go. I’m all here for it,” he said.
