Mike Tyson is set to return to the boxing ring against Jake Paul on November 15 at AT&T Stadium, following a delay due to a medical emergency, with questions surrounding Tyson’s age and health as he prepares for his first professional bout in nearly two decades.
Mike Tyson seems all set for his much-anticipated boxing comeback against Jake Paul next month.
The iconic former heavyweight champ will face Paul on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This headline event is streaming on Netflix, exclusively for subscribers. Initially, this bout was slated for July. However, Tyson had to pull out due to a medical emergency.
Many are questioning Tyson’s age and health at 58. To counter the skepticism, “Iron” Mike showcased a fierce training session on Instagram. The pad-melting display aimed to silence critics.
Tyson last stepped into the professional ring nearly two decades ago. His final pro match was a technical knockout loss to Kevin McBride in June 2005. He didn’t answer the bell for Round 7. Fast forward to November 2020, he fought Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match that ended in a no-decision after eight two-minute rounds.
On the flip side, Jake Paul faced his first defeat to Tommy Fury in February 2023. But he quickly rebounded with four consecutive knockout wins. In his latest fight, Paul knocked out BKFC star Mike Perry in the sixth round back in July.
And there you have it! A clash of generations and styles awaits.
