The fight card for the upcoming Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul event on November 15 at AT&T Stadium will also feature a WBC welterweight title fight between Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos, among other notable bouts.
Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul just got a little bit bigger. On Monday, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions announced an exciting addition to the fight card.
The upcoming event will now feature a WBC welterweight title bout between Mario Barrios and Abel Ramos. Wow, talk about a stacked night!
Most Valuable Promotions shared the news on Twitter. Their tweet read: “FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: MVP is excited to announce that on the same night as Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, we will have an electrifying WBC Welterweight Championship bout between reigning champion Mario ‘El Azteca’ Barrios and Abel Ramos.”
Barrios won the WBC interim welterweight title last year with a unanimous decision over Yordenis Ugas. He defended it in May against Fabian Maidana.
In June, Barrios was elevated to undisputed WBC welterweight champion. This came after Terence Crawford moved up to super welterweight.
Abel Ramos, with a 28-6-2 record, is notable for his split decision loss to Ugas in 2020 for the WBA welterweight title. Quite the resume!
Additionally, Most Valuable Promotions announced another intriguing matchup. Indian boxer and influencer Neeraj Goyat will face Brazilian YouTuber and boxer Whindersson Nunes.
