Morgan Charriere Floors Gabriel Miranda with Brutal Knockout at UFC Paris

Morgan Charriere thrilled the French fans at UFC Paris with a second-round knockout of Gabriel Miranda, countering a wild spinning backfist with a powerful left hook.

Morgan Charriere gave the French fans exactly what they wanted.

On Saturday at Accor Arena, Charriere faced Gabriel Miranda in a featherweight contest on the main card of UFC Paris. Perhaps surprisingly for “The Last Pirate,” Miranda proved tough in the first round. He hung with Charriere and even threatened with a submission near the end of the round.

Things didn’t go as well for Miranda in the second round, though. Charriere came out even more aggressive. When Miranda threw a wild spinning backfist, Charriere countered with a thunderous left hook. It floored the Brazilian and sent the French crowd into an uproar.

The win is Charriere’s second in the UFC. This follows a disappointing split decision loss to Chepe Mariscal his last time out. Afterward, “The Last Pirate” led the Paris crowd in a rendition of the French national anthem.
