Muhammad Mokaev Dominates Joevincent So at Brave CF 91, Claims Best Flyweight Title

Muhammad Mokaev quickly defeated Joevincent So with a D’Arce choke in under two minutes at Brave CF 91, extending his record to 13-0 and declaring himself the best flyweight in the world.


Muhammad Mokaev didn’t waste any time at Brave CF 91 in Bahrain, dispatching Joevincent So with ease. So stepped in on just two days’ notice to replace Luthando Biko. But his brief exchange on the feet with Mokaev quickly turned into a one-sided affair.

Mokaev executed a swift single-leg takedown, transitioning to top position almost instantly. From there, he unleashed a few strikes before securing a D’Arce choke. In under two minutes, So was asleep, and the fight was over.

With this victory, Mokaev extends his perfect professional record to 13-0 (1 NC). Including amateur bouts, he’s unbeaten in an astonishing 37 MMA fights. His last finish came against Tim Elliott in October 2023.

Before exiting the UFC, Mokaev racked up seven wins in the octagon. His final two victories there were decisions over Manel Kape and Alex Perez.

“I’m ready for everyone in this division,” Mokaev declared post-fight. “I will be pound-for-pound and best flyweight in the world. They can deny, but they can’t hide. And I’m coming for everyone on the 125 division. I’m the best flyweight in the world.”

Currently ranked No. 9 at 125 pounds in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, Mokaev’s ambition seems unstoppable.
