Nate Diaz, who is not currently on the UFC’s fighting roster, has hinted at a return for the UFC 306 event in Las Vegas on September 14, despite previous speculation about a potential appearance at UFC 300.
Nate Diaz isn’t currently on the UFC’s roster. But, boy, is he hinting at a comeback. And it’s not for UFC 300, mind you.
Diaz last graced the UFC ring at UFC 279 in September 2022. He made Tony Ferguson tap out in the main event. Since then, he’s been flirting with the boxing world.
Despite fans’ hopes of seeing him at UFC 300 on April 13, Diaz has other plans. He’s got his eyes set on the UFC’s upcoming Noche UFC card. That’s UFC 306, folks. And it’s happening at The Sphere in Las Vegas on Sept. 14.
Diaz made his stance clear on social media. “I’ll be here, f*** 300,” he declared.
After a 27-fight stint with the UFC, Diaz tried his hand at boxing. He faced off against Jake Paul in Dallas this past August. The result? A unanimous decision in Paul’s favor.
Now, there’s chatter about another boxing match. This time, it’s with Jorge Masvidal, a familiar face from Diaz’s UFC days. Nothing’s confirmed yet, but the buzz is there.
Masvidal and Diaz have history. Masvidal won their previous bout at UFC 244 in November 2019. It was a doctor’s stoppage TKO in the main event. And it was the first-ever “BMF” title fight. So, a rematch? Could be interesting.
