Nate Diaz has been charged with misdemeanor battery following an alleged altercation at a Las Vegas nightclub in August, where he reportedly pushed and hit a security guard, and if convicted, he could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Nate Diaz finds himself in hot water, facing a misdemeanor battery charge. The alleged incident took place at the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas last August. Court records show the charge was filed on October 16th.
TMZ broke the story first, but MMA Fighting confirmed it through online court documents. As of now, Diaz’s reps have remained silent, offering no comment on the situation.
The altercation reportedly began while Diaz and his entourage were waiting to enter Omnia at Caesar’s Palace. A security guard approached them, trying to address what seemed like a holdup in the line.
Things escalated quickly. Diaz allegedly pushed the security guard, who retaliated by pushing back. The situation peaked when Diaz supposedly struck the guard with an open hand.
A video surfaced in September showing Diaz shoving someone away by their face. Glasses went flying as more people jumped in to calm things down.
By the time law enforcement arrived, Diaz had already left the scene. Fast forward to October, and he’s now officially facing a misdemeanor battery charge.
If found guilty, Diaz could face up to six months behind bars and fines reaching $1,000. But let’s be real—maximum penalties are rare for such cases.
Interestingly enough, just last weekend, Diaz was spotted in Vegas again. He was there supporting his friend Kron Gracie at UFC 310. His last fight? A boxing match victory against Jorge Masvidal back in July. Life moves fast, doesn’t it?
