Neil Magny vs Phil Rowe: UFC Jacksonville Showdown Preview

Neil Magny and Phil Rowe are set to face off in a welterweight matchup at UFC Jacksonville at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

Neil Magny and Phil Rowe are set to face off in a welterweight matchup at UFC Jacksonville on June 24 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Multiple sources confirmed the news on Tuesday, with MMA Junkie being the first to report the matchup. This fight is the latest addition to the UFC’s return to Jacksonville, headlined by a featherweight fight between one-time interim title challenger Josh Emmett and Ilia Topuria.

Magny is looking to bounce back after suffering a loss to Gilbert Burns in his previous outing back in January at UFC 283. That defeat brought Magny’s record to 3-2 over his past five fights, which includes wins over Max Griffin and Daniel Rodriguez, and losses to top contenders Burns and Shavkat Rakhmonov. He will attempt to get back on track when he fights in June.

On the other hand, Rowe currently boasts a three-fight win streak with knockout finishes over Niko Price, Jason Witt, and Orion Cosce. In total, Rowe has a 3-1 record in the octagon after joining the promotion through the UFC’s Contender Series. Both fighters will be looking to make a statement in their upcoming bout as they continue to climb the welterweight rankings.
