Nick Diaz Challenges Jake & Logan Paul to Fight After Brother Nate’s Loss, Claims Superior Skills

MMA fighter Nick Diaz has expressed an interest in challenging either one of the Paul brothers, Jake or Logan, following his younger brother Nate Diaz‘s loss to Jake Paul in a professional boxing match.

Nick Diaz, a 40-year-old professional boxer, is seeking revenge on behalf of the Diaz army. While supporting his younger brother Nate Diaz in his professional boxing debut at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, he expressed his intentions clearly. The event took a decisive turn as Nate suffered defeat from Jake Paul in a 10-round unanimous decision. Diaz, in his post-bout comments, expressed interest in a match against the Paul brothers, Jake or his older sibling Logan.

In his post-match commentary, Diaz sounded confident and was eager to take up the challenge if possible. Sharing his views on Nate’s performance, he said, “I think [Nate] needed a little more work.” Moreover, he made it clear that he’s ready to step into the ring against Jake for round 2 if necessary. In Diaz’s own words: “But let’s cut to the chase, I’m a lot better than both of these guys that are out there. I’d love to entertain the idea of moving on in on whoever they’ve got for me.”

Diaz’s most recent professional appearance was in 2021 during UFC 266, where he unfortunately lost to Robbie Lawler by TKO in the third round. This marked his first match since January 2015 and extended his winless streak to four. His lack of success started in 2012 after losing out to Carlos Condit for the UFC interim welterweight title and continued with a unanimous decision defeat by Georges St-Pierre. However, Diaz isn’t new to boxing, as in 2005, he defeated Alfonso Rocha in a unanimous decision during his pro debut.

Diaz concluded his remarks by sharing his passion for the game and his interest to keep his career options open. He said, “Of course [it motivates me]…it’s all or nothing. I’m never one foot in, one foot out. But me coming here today…I’m still motivated as ever, and I’m a harder worker and better fighter than anybody that’s out here right now.” Thus, expressing his optimism and interest in upcoming opportunities.
