ONE Championship, a Singapore-based promotion, will return to the U.S. with two shows in Denver and Atlanta in 2024, which will air live on Amazon Prime Video.
ONE Championship is making a comeback to the U.S. in 2024. They’ve got two shows lined up.
The promotion, originally from Singapore, had its first U.S. gig in Broomfield, Colo., last May. Now, they’re gearing up for Denver and Atlanta.
ONE Fight Night 26 is happening at the Ball Arena in Denver. It’s slated for Sept. 6. Then there’s ONE Fight Night 28, scheduled for Nov. 8 in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. Both events will be live on Amazon Prime Video for U.S. viewers.
Chatri Sityodtong, ONE CEO, is stoked about the U.S. return. He said, “We’re thrilled to return to the U.S. to showcase the greatest world champion martial artists in the country’s best cities and sports arenas.” He added, “America remains a high-priority market for us as we continue our global expansion, and we can’t wait to get back on-ground to entertain our passionate fanbase in the region with quarterly U.S. events in September 2024 and beyond.”
The U.S. has been on ONE’s radar for a while. But, the global pandemic threw a wrench in their plans. Once things started moving again, they scheduled their first-ever U.S. card last May. The main event? Demetrious Johnson defending his flyweight title against Adriano Moraes. And he won.
As for the upcoming U.S. cards, no fights or fighters have been confirmed yet. But, a bunch of American-based athletes fight in ONE. We’ve got the current interim featherweight champ Thanh Le, grappling champ Garry Tonon, and ex-UFC star Sage Northcutt. So, who knows?
