Ovince Saint Preux, Kennedy Nzechukwu Added to UFC Fight Night Card March 16

The upcoming UFC Fight Night card on March 16, headlined by Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura, will feature several new fights including the return of former interim title challenger Ovince Saint Preux, women’s bantamweight fights featuring Macy Chiasson, Pannie Kianzad, Josiane Nunes and Chelsea Chandler, and a middleweight fight with Gerald Meerschaert and Bryan Barberena.

Get ready, fight fans! March 16th’s UFC Fight Night is shaping up to be a real sizzler. The main event? A heavyweight clash between Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura. But wait, there’s more. We’ve got a bunch of new fights added to the card, including the comeback of a former interim title contender.

Where’s all this action going down? None other than the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, baby!

Remember Ovince Saint Preux? The dude who once went toe-to-toe with Jon Jones for the interim title at 205 pounds? Well, he’s back! After a hiatus since February 2023, he’s stepping back into the ring to face Kennedy Nzechukwu.

Saint Preux’s record? Not so hot lately. He’s at 1-3 for his last four fights. So, this could be a do-or-die situation for him come March. On the other side, Nzechukwu’s looking to bounce back after a knockout loss to Dustin Jacoby last August. That defeat snapped his three-fight winning streak.

And let’s not forget the ladies! We’ve got two women’s bantamweight fights lined up. Former The Ultimate Fighter champ Macy Chiasson is set to duke it out with Pannie Kianzad. Plus, Josiane Nunes is squaring off against Chelsea Chandler.

Gerald Meerschaert, the submission whiz, is also making a comeback in March. He’s up against Bryan Barberena in a middleweight bout. This marks Barberena’s second consecutive fight at 185 pounds, following a loss to Makhmud Muradov last July. That defeat put him on a three-fight losing streak.

And Natan Levy? He’s back too, for a lightweight face-off with Mike Davis.

So, here’s the full rundown for the UFC Fight Night on March 16. The fight order’s still up in the air, but here’s what we know:
