Paddy Pimblett Dismisses Colby Covington Confrontation

Paddy Pimblett and Colby Covington have an ongoing feud, with Pimblett dismissing Covington as irrelevant and focusing on a lightweight title shot after his UFC 314 win, while also expressing interest in potential fights against top contenders and Conor McGregor.

Paddy Pimblett and Colby Covington are in the midst of a growing feud. If Pimblett has his way, this beef won’t be squashed anytime soon.

After his UFC 314 co-main event victory over Michael Chandler, Pimblett found himself verbally attacked by none other than Colby Covington. Covington took shots at the caliber of Pimblett’s opponents, while Pimblett fired back, mocking Covington’s losing streak.

Later on, Pimblett appeared on ESPN’s post-event show to spill the beans on the altercation. “Oh yeah, this little maggot,” he said. “He only acts up when there’s a camera around.”

Pimblett didn’t hold back. He recounted seeing Covington at Power Slap recently. “I walked past him staring, and he just looked down at the floor,” he added. But with cameras rolling, Covington seemed bolder.

Covington’s recent record isn’t exactly stellar. Since 2021, he’s only managed one win—a decision over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. The drama continued outside the octagon when Masvidal attacked him at a Miami steakhouse, leading to Masvidal’s arrest.

Meanwhile, Pimblett is riding high with a 7-0 UFC record after defeating Chandler. His focus? A lightweight title shot. Covington? Not even on his radar.

“He can eat shit,” Pimblett declared. “He pays supermodels to stand with him, the f*cking bum.” Harsh words for someone he deems irrelevant and desperate for attention.

Pimblett’s got bigger fish to fry. He’s eyeing top contenders like Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, and Arman Tsarukyan. Oh, and let’s not forget Ilia Topuria and Conor McGregor.

Speaking of McGregor, Pimblett had a few choice words there too. “There’s also Conor McGregor,” he noted. “With the Scouse-Irish connection… if he wants his head punched in when he comes back, I’m game.”
