Scottish MMA fighter Paul Craig won his middleweight debut at UFC London and was awarded an extra $50,000 as one of the event’s Performance of the Night bonuses.
Paul Craig recently debuted as a Middleweight and did not disappoint, cashing in some extra earnings. The Scottish veteran, after being a UFC Light Heavyweight contender for 15 fights, made his move down to the 185 pounds division. On Saturday, Craig put up an unforgettable performance, halting Andre Muniz with a series of punches and elbows in the second round. This divisional debut victory at UFC London also added an extra $50,000 to his earnings as he secured one of the night’s Performance Bonuses.
The other notable performer was heavyweight headliner Tom Aspinall, who also gained the Performance of the Night Bonus. Aspinall celebrated a swift 73-second triumph over Marcin Tybura during Saturday’s main event. This victory comes as Aspinall’s first fight since sustaining a major knee injury barely 15 seconds into his fight against Curtis Blaydes, which took place in July of 2022.
The Fight of the Night Bonus on the undercard was secured by Johnny Parsons and Danny Roberts, who each earned $50,000. Their dynamic welterweight brawl had spectators on edge, with Parsons eventually emerging the victor over Roberts via a second-round TKO. The UFC London event was hosted in The O2 Arena on July 22nd.
