Paul Felder will be replacing Joe Rogan as the color commentator for UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, alongside Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik, as Rogan no longer wants to travel for international pay-per-views.
Paul Felder has been tapped once again to serve as color commentator for UFC 294, set to take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The highly anticipated event will be headlined by a lightweight title rematch between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski. Due to the international nature of the pay-per-view, renowned commentator Joe Rogan will not be present, and Felder will step in to join the regular team of Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik. Serving as the reporter in the arena during the broadcast will be Megan Olivi.
This is not the first time Felder has assumed this role for the UFC in Abu Dhabi. Last year, during UFC 280, he successfully filled in for Rogan, who decided some time ago to no longer participate in international PPVs due to the travel demands. The UFC has since employed a rotating group of commentators to take Rogan’s place whenever events are held abroad.
In order to accommodate the global audience, UFC 294 will feature an earlier start time than usual. The prelims will kick off at 10 a.m. ET, followed by the main card starting on PPV at 2 p.m. ET. Fans can look forward to an exciting night of fights, with Felder providing his expert analysis alongside Cormier and Anik, while Olivi delivers on-the-ground reporting throughout the event.
