Petr Yan vs Deiveson Figueiredo UFC Macau Headliner

Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo are set to face each other in a five-round main event at UFC Macau on November 23, as confirmed by multiple sources.

Petr Yan and Deiveson Figueiredo are finally set to clash in the UFC octagon.

Sources familiar with the promotion’s plans have confirmed to MMA Fighting that Yan and Figueiredo will face off at UFC Macau on Nov. 23. Leo Guimaraes initially broke the news on Twitter.

This bout is expected to be a five-round main event.

After a year-long hiatus, Yan returned to action at UFC 299 in March. He defeated Song Yadong by unanimous decision, snapping a three-fight losing streak. The former bantamweight champion had previously lost back-to-back split decisions to Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley. Then, he suffered a lopsided defeat to new 135-pound champ Merab Dvalishvili.

Figueiredo has thrived since moving up from the flyweight division. The former 125-pound titleholder boasts a 3-0 record in his new weight class. This includes decision wins over Rob Font and Marlon Vera, as well as a submission victory against former champ Cody Garbrandt at UFC 300.
