Alexandr Romanov leads a roster of heavyweight and light heavyweight fighters, including notable names like Valentin Moldavsky and Phil Davis, in the PFL’s 2025 season, which begins on April 3 at Universal Studios Florida.
Alexandr Romanov is at the forefront, leading a pack of heavyweight stars eyeing a cool $500,000 in this year’s PFL chase.
The league just dropped its official rosters for the upcoming heavyweight and light heavyweight showdowns. Romanov, fresh off his UFC stint, is now a free agent after clinching a win in Edmonton last November.
Joining Romanov (18-3) in this heavyweight mix are some serious contenders. There’s Valentin Moldavsky (13-4, 1 NC), who once held an interim Bellator title, and 2024 PFL finalist Oleg Popov (19-2). Also in the fray: seasoned fighters like Linton Vassell (24-10, 1 NC) and Tim Johnson (18-11), recent PFL face Sergey Bilostenniy (13-3), plus up-and-comers Pouya Rahmani (4-0) and Abraham Bably (5-1).
Switching gears to light heavyweight—Phil Davis (24-7, 1 NC), a former Bellator champ, is making his PFL entrance. He’s in good company with past tournament champs Antonio Carlos Junior (16-6, 2 NC) and Rob Wilkinson (19-3, 1 NC). Don’t forget Karl Moore (12-3), Marcelo Nunes (11-2), Simeon Powell (10-1), Karl Albrektsson (14-6), and Sullivan Cauley (6-1) rounding out the lineup.
On standby for the light heavyweights are Alex Polizzi (11-4) and Rafael Xavier (13-8). Curiously, no alternates were named for the heavyweight division. Perhaps they’re keeping us on our toes?
Mark your calendars! The 2025 PFL season kicks off on April 3. Subsequent events follow on April 11, April 18, and May 1—all happening at Universal Studios Florida. It’s gonna be epic!
