The PFL is reviving its 185-pound middleweight tournament in 2025, featuring notable fighters such as Impa Kasanganay and Sadibou Sy, with the competition set to begin on April 18 and broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+.
Guess what? PFL middleweights are making a comeback!
On Tuesday, the league spilled the beans on the eight-man lineup for their first 185-pound tournament since way back in 2018. Highlighting the 2025 tourney are some big names: 2023 light heavyweight champ Impa Kasanganay (18-5) and 2022 welterweight champ Sadibou Sy (17-8-2, 1 NC).
Both Kasanganay and Sy have already snagged $1 million from previous wins. Now, they’re eyeing more bling with a 2025 tournament title and a cool $500,000 prize.
Who else is in the mix? We’ve got two-time Bellator title contender Fabian Edwards (13-4), plus Josh Silveira (13-4), who made it to the 2023 PFL light heavyweight finals. Not to mention Bellator vets Aaron Jeffery (15-5), Dalton Rosta (9-1), Mike Shipman (17-4), and recent PFL fighter Murad Ramazanov (12-2).
Remember Louis Taylor? He clinched the first-ever 185-pound tournament back in 2018. But since then, this division’s been on ice.
Mark your calendars! The middleweight showdown starts April 18, live on ESPN and ESPN+. Don’t miss it!
