Patricio Pitbull has been removed from the upcoming PFL vs. Bellator event due to the withdrawal of his opponent, Jesus Pinedo, for undisclosed reasons.
Well, it’s a bummer. Patricio Pitbull won’t be stepping into the ring next week.

The PFL dropped the bomb on Saturday. They’ve pulled the Bellator legend from the card. This unexpected move comes after Jesus Pinedo, Pitbull’s opponent, backed out of their featherweight bout. This match was all set for the PFL vs. Bellator event on Feb. 24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. But, why did Pinedo withdraw? That’s the million-dollar question, folks. No answers yet.
Now, Pitbull is no small fry. He’s the reigning Bellator featherweight champ. And Pinedo? He was riding high on a kickass 2023 campaign, where he clinched a PFL featherweight tournament.
So, what’s next?
Well, that’s up in the air. We don’t know if this bout will be rescheduled. Or if Pitbull and Pinedo will get new opponents. It’s a waiting game now.
And Pitbull? He’s got to sit tight. He’s on the brink of snapping the first losing streak of his glittering career. The last two times? Not so great. He tried to be a three-division champion but lost to Bellator bantamweight champ Sergio Pettis. Then, he got a shocking knockout from RIZIN’s Chihiro Suzuki. That was a late addition to the July 2023 event.

The PFL also announced a change in the lightweight bout. Boxing superstar Claressa Shields and Kelsey DeSantis will now face off at 165 pounds.
