Caio Borralho emerged as a title contender in the UFC middleweight division after a dominant performance against Jared Cannonier in his first main event at UFC Vegas 96, winning by unanimous decision.

Competing in his first UFC main event, the Fighting Nerds talent put together one of the finest performances of his career. Overcoming a nasty cut, he nearly finished Jared Cannonier both on the feet and on the ground Saturday in the main event of UFC Vegas 96.
In the end, Borralho captured a unanimous decision (49-45, 49-45, 48-46) over the one-time title challenger. This victory vaulted his name into contention in the UFC middleweight rankings.
