Carlos Prates made a significant impact in the UFC welterweight division by defeating Neil Magny with a first-round knockout, extending his record to 20-6 with four consecutive KO wins.
Carlos Prates has officially put the UFC welterweight division on notice.
Entering his contest at UFC Vegas 100, “The Nightmare” carved a path of destruction across the 170-pound division.
But standing across the Octagon was Neil Magny, the division’s gatekeeper to the top 15.
While many thought Magny could neutralize some of Prates’ skills, the Brazilian proved his dynamite hands were unstoppable. He melted his opponent with a violent first-round knockout.
This win pushed his pro record to 20-6, including four straight KO victories in the UFC.
