Randy Brown Criticizes Bryan Battle’s UFC 310 Weight Miss

Randy Brown criticized his UFC 310 opponent Bryan Battle for missing weight by four pounds, suggesting it was intentional to gain an advantage, but the fight will proceed as planned.

Randy Brown has voiced his thoughts on his UFC 310 opponent’s weight miss. It’s a hot topic right now. Scheduled to face Bryan Battle at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, things took a twist during the official weigh-ins.

Brown made weight like clockwork. But Battle? He was over by four pounds! A big deal in the fight world. After the weigh-in window closed, Brown didn’t hold back. He suspects Battle’s weight miss was intentional.

“Nine walks to the UFC octagon alone, six on the regional scene and I’ve never missed weight, not one time,” Brown shared on Instagram. “Like a true professional.” Strong words, right? He believes Battle knew he wouldn’t make weight but still let him endure the grueling cut.

“These guys bite the bullet on percentage then come in overweight on purpose,” Brown continued. It’s all about gaining an edge for fight night. “I’ll be no more than 185 [on Saturday]. I would bet he’ll be well over 200 [pounds]. How is that fair to me?” A valid question!

As of now, no official word from the UFC. Yet, rumors swirl that percentages were agreed upon and the fight will proceed as planned. A source told MMA Fighting this tidbit on Friday.

Brown rides into this bout on a three-fight win streak, including a decision victory over Elizeu Zaleski at UFC 302 in June. Meanwhile, Battle remains unbeaten in his last four fights, finishing three opponents along the way. Quite a showdown awaits!
