Renato Moicano Accuses Ryan Garcia of Steroid Abuse

After winning a UFC Fight Pass Invitation, Brazilian fighter Renato Moicano expressed his interest in boxing and challenged Ryan Garcia, who recently tested positive for a banned substance, and also called out Paddy Pimblett for a future fight.

Renato Moicano is a man who always has something to say. He’s never short of words, you see.

Just after his victory at the UFC Fight Pass Invitation, he was at it again. The Brazilian fighter, known for his outspoken nature, grabbed the mic for another one of his famous post-fight interviews. This time, he had a new idea. He’d been grappling, sure, but now he was thinking about boxing.

“I love this shit,” he shouted, “but I was missing throwing some f*cking elbows today.” He quickly added, “No disrespect to Christian [Guzman], but I’m a UFC fighter, top 10 lightweight. Today, I was doing grappling. But we’re MMA fighters. We can do it all. That’s why next time, I want to fight boxing.”

Then he dropped a bombshell. “That little dirthead Ryan Garcia, motherf*cking steroid abuser, my brother. If I go to boxing, I’m going to f*ck you up.”

Garcia’s been in the news a lot lately. First, he had a big win over Devin Haney. Then, controversy. He tested positive for a banned substance, which could nullify his victory.

The substance was ostarine, a banned anabolic agent. It’s been found in a few UFC fighters over the years, including Sean O’Malley, Kyler Phillips, and Daniel Rodriguez. Garcia’s B-sample is due for testing on May 22. Haney’s already asked the New York State Athletic Commission to overturn the fight result because of the positive test.

Garcia denies any wrongdoing. But public opinion is another story. And now, Moicano’s joined the fray, taking aim at the 25-year-old boxer.

But Garcia wasn’t the only one in Moicano’s crosshairs. He also reiterated his desire to face Paddy Pimblett, a highly touted prospect. “Paddy Pimblett, easy money,” Moicano declared. “Let’s f*cking go.”

Moicano’s message was short but clear. He’s waiting for his next assignment from the UFC. His last fight was a win against Jalin Turner at UFC 300, extending his winning streak to three.
