Lightweights Benoit Saint Denis and Renato Moicano have verbally agreed to fight at UFC Fight Night in Paris on September 28 at the Accor Arena, with Moicano seeking his fourth consecutive win and Saint Denis returning after a notable performance against Dustin Poirier.
Lightweights Benoit Saint Denis and Renato Moicano are set to clash at the upcoming UFC Fight Night in Paris. The event is scheduled for Sept. 28 at the Accor Arena.
Multiple sources confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Friday. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the matchup, with AG Fight initially breaking the story.
Moicano will be stepping into enemy territory, aiming for his fourth consecutive win. The former featherweight has already secured impressive victories over Brad Riddell and Drew Dober.
He also made a remarkable comeback to stop Jalin Turner at UFC 300. Now, he’s targeting one of the division’s top prospects: Saint Denis.
Saint Denis is making his first appearance since a barnburner against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299. Despite suffering a knockout loss that night, he raised his stock significantly.
The performance earned him accolades, giving Poirier everything he could handle in what was UFC 299’s Fight of the Night. A chance to fight Moicano offers Saint Denis an opportunity to shine again.
Saint Denis previously scored a Fight of the Night bonus for his win over Thiago Moises at UFC Paris in 2023. This bout allows him another shot at glory on home soil.
It remains unclear if this fight will serve as the headliner for the event. With UFC Paris scheduled for September, more bouts are expected to be announced soon.
