UFC middleweights Rodolfo Vieira and Armen Petrosyan are set to face off on Feb. 10 in Las Vegas, after their original match in November was cancelled due to Petrosyan falling ill.
Alright, here’s the scoop. Rodolfo Vieira and Armen Petrosyan, two UFC middleweights, are set to duke it out. The showdown’s happening on Feb. 10 in Las Vegas. That’s the word from multiple insiders who spilled the beans to MMA Fighting.
Now, this isn’t just any UFC Vegas card. Nope, it’s gonna be headlined by Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer. And where’s this all going down? At the UFC APEX, of course.
Here’s a fun fact. Vieira and Petrosyan were supposed to go toe-to-toe at UFC Sao Paulo. That was on Nov. 4. But, alas, the Russian-Armenian fighter had to pull out. He was feeling under the weather during the event in Brazil. Bummer, right?
Let’s talk about Petrosyan for a sec. His record stands at 8-2. Not too shabby, huh? He’s bagged three out of four under the UFC banner. And he’s gunning for his third consecutive win after getting the better of AJ Dobson and Christian Leroy Duncan. His only loss? A decision to Caio Borralho in July 2022.
Now, on to Vieira. His record? 9-2. He’s had a bit of a rollercoaster ride since his 2-0 start in the organization. But don’t write him off just yet. This jiu-jitsu legend has pocketed two $50,000 performance bonuses in his most recent wins. His latest victory was a second-round submission over Cody Brundage in April.
Oh, and before I forget, Mike Heck chipped in with this report. So, props to him.
