Rose Namajunas vs Erin Blanchfield Headlines UFC Edmonton

Flyweights Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield headline UFC’s return to Canada on Nov. 2 in Edmonton, with several other notable matchups including Derrick Lewis vs. Alexandr Romanov in the co-main event.

Flyweights Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield are set to headline UFC’s return to Canada on Nov. 2 at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

UFC CEO Dana White broke the news to Canada’s Sportsnet on Thursday.

Namajunas and Blanchfield will clash in the five-round main event. Both fighters aim to move closer to title contention with a win.

Interestingly, both recently faced Manon Fiorot. Blanchfield was a top contender before her loss, while Namajunas has secured back-to-back victories since her defeat by Fiorot in her flyweight debut.

Several other fights were also announced for the Edmonton card. The co-main event features heavyweight Derrick Lewis, the all-time UFC knockout leader, against Alexandr Romanov. Lewis knocked out Rodrigo Nascimento in May, and Romanov is eager to bounce back after a submission loss to Jailton Almeida in June.

Ariane Da Silva returns to face Canadian favorite Jasmine Jasudavicius in another flyweight bout. Marc-Andre Barriault will take on Dustin Stoltzfus at middleweight.

Additionally, Canadian Jamey-Lyn Horth will fight Ivana Petrovic. Recent *The Ultimate Fighter* finalist Cody Gibson returns against Chad Anheliger.

More UFC Edmonton fights are expected to be announced soon. Stay tuned!
