Ryan Garcia Accuses ‘Mole’ in Camp for Gervonta Davis Bout, Suspected Training Partner Reacts

Boxer Ryan Garcia claims a mole in his training camp contributed to his loss against Gervonta Davis, while training partner Erdenebat Tsendbaatar seemingly admitted to an unintentional injury in an Instagram post.

Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis battled it out in one of the year’s most anticipated boxing matches this past Saturday, and the drama has continued even after the fight. While the pair were amicable following Garcia’s loss in the seventh round, Garcia has since claimed that there was a mole in his training camp prior to the fight. Bizarrely, the alleged mole, training partner Erdenebat Tsendbaatar, appeared to reveal himself on social media, responding to Garcia’s accusations through Instagram posts.

Garcia took to his Instagram stories to discuss the issue, stating, “Actually sad I had a mole in my camp. Like wtf that’s crazy but thank God it’s brought to light now.” He further clarified that his comment was not intended to be an excuse, stating, “I lost, period. I’ll come back but I’m just shocked that part of my team crossed me, someone close to me. Unbelievable. But it’s a testimony that you must be aware of everyone.”

Though Garcia didn’t name the alleged mole, Tsendbaatar shared a video on his own Instagram in which he claims to have injured Garcia’s body before the fight with Davis. He also addressed Garcia’s claims of a mole in camp, writing, “Hey King Ryan, my bro. My last post I used Google translate. The translation was incorrect and confusing. My apologies. Who is mole? What are you talking about? I am not mole. I don’t even speak English. I don’t even like Tank. I will fight him and KO him in the future. During our sparring, I tried to help you and sparred Tank-style boxing.” He then encouraged Garcia to learn from the experience and wished him luck in his career. The 5-0 pro boxer from Mongolia, Tsendbaatar, highlighted that English is not his first language, leaving some confusion as to why he chose to respond in this way. As a result of the knockout, Garcia suffered his first career setback, with a record now of 23-1.
