Ryan Garcia & Conor Benn Separated After Heated Exchange at Awards

Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn had a heated confrontation at the Ring Magazine awards show in London, where Benn expressed willingness to fight Garcia, leading to a tense face-off after Benn shoved him.

Things got pretty heated between Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn at the Ring Magazine awards show. Sparks flew, to say the least.

The event unfolded on a Saturday at the Old Royal Naval College in London. It was all about celebrating boxing’s best for 2024, complete with a red carpet and interviews galore. Fighters and notable figures in the boxing world were there, mingling and chatting with various publications.

Conor Benn, a rising British boxing star and WBA Continental welterweight champ, was in the spotlight. He was mid-interview with IFL TV when Ryan Garcia made his entrance. Naturally, someone asked if Benn would fight Garcia. His answer? A solid yes.

Then, things took a turn. Benn shoved Garcia, leading to a tense face-off. You can check out the video below—it’s intense!

As for Benn’s recent exploits, he last fought nearly a year ago. He scored a unanimous decision victory over Peter Dobson in Las Vegas back in February 2024.

On the flip side, Garcia is currently sidelined with a one-year suspension due to a failed drug test. This overturned his win against Devin Haney. To add to his woes, he’s dealing with an injured wrist that needs surgery. This injury postponed his planned exhibition match with Rukiya Anpo at RIZIN’s New Year’s Eve event in Japan. But don’t count him out just yet; Garcia has promised to face Anpo sometime this year.

So much drama in the boxing world!
