Sean O’Malley is preparing for his rematch with Merab Dvalishvili by sparring with various individuals, including professional poker player and YouTuber Frankie C, whom he lightly battered in a video released on his YouTube channel.
Sean O’Malley is gearing up for his rematch with Merab Dvalishvili by bringing in a diverse group of people to train with him. It’s an interesting strategy, right?
Lately, more influencers and fans are seizing the chance to spar with top-tier MMA fighters. Just last week, Sean Strickland had a go at a YouTuber. Now, “Suga” Sean O’Malley is joining the fun.
Over the weekend, O’Malley shared a video on his YouTube channel. In it, he spars with professional poker player and YouTuber Frankie C. Quite the crossover event!
First, they faced off in a poker match. But, let’s be real, poker isn’t MMA. Frankie C soon found himself on the receiving end of O’Malley’s (gentle) strikes, eventually taking a few solid shots to the body.
Kudos to Frankie C for stepping into the cage, fully aware of the mismatch. He admitted O’Malley is intimidating but didn’t expect any lasting damage. O’Malley seemed keen to make an impression without causing harm.
“I want him to feel like he got hit by a truck,” O’Malley remarked. “I plan to hurt him in the body, kick his leg a few times. Hard kicks. Get him really, really tired.”
O’Malley is set to challenge Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title at UFC 316. The event is happening on June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Exciting times ahead!
